These flameless heaters are designed to heat wet meal ration packs. An exothermic reaction takes place when a small amount of water is added and in around 10-12 minutes you will have a piping hot, delicious tasting meal ready to eat straight from the pouch. These are the same heaters that are used by various military forces and aid agencies in their rations packs.
These heaters are made to the same spec as the US Military ones and contain magnesium. They get hotter quicker and work better in colder temperatures then the standard aluminium ones.
A great alternative to a traditional stove or hexi cooker and allows for a hot meal when a normal stove isn't allowed or appropriate.
